Abstract: During the past 3 years I have photographed Babylonian tablets, an Egyptian papyrus, a few Greco-Roman mosaics, a medieval amnuscript, and parts of mathematical books from the 15-19th centuries. I will present a selection of these, illustrating the history of the use of illustrations in mathematics.   See: Poster
