The topics I plan to discuss are (a) the Anderson model, (b) the Aizenman--Molchanov fractional moment method for proving localisation, and (c) how the fractional moment method can be applied to operators with non-monotone potentials. (a) & (b) should be a self-contained introduction, (c) is based on joint work with Alexander Elgart and Mira Shamis.
