When I first came to Penn, I gave talks in the GT-reading seminar about the paper of Toshitake Kohno "Loop spaces of configuration spaces and finite type invariants". In that paper Kohno proposes certain iterated integrals representing cohomology classes of based loop spaces of configuration spaces as candidates for invariants of n-component links. In this talk, after providing some background, I will come a full circle and end my term by showing that Kohno integrals in fact detect Milnor mu-invariants of Borromean n-component links.
