My survey and tribute to KT Chen and to our Georgian colleagues, especially Kadeishvili and Berikashvili, will have to be postponed. Thee will be no formal lecture, but Murray will be there for anyone interested. Regular participants should check their e-mail. Others please contact Jim directly. Like classical non-liner connections in differential geometry, Chen's connections appear in a completed tensor product of a dgc algebra and a Lie algebra and satisfy a `twisting cochain' condition. The survey will aim at clarification of both the relation between these view points and of the history.
