October is National CyberSecurity Awareness Month! Chris Leary, and Nick Salvatore, and Shaheen Beg are hosting an Information Security Outreach day. If you are curious about information security and/or privacy on the Internet, if you have questions about how secure your research data is, or if you just like donuts, stop by our event.

We're in the Math Lounge in the 4E hallway Friday 10/28 from 10AM to 11AM. You'll be able to get free donuts, informational handouts, and information security swag, and in the meantime we will be available to discuss any questions you might have about computers, privacy on the Internet, and information security.

One of the main themes that we want to talk about this year is phishing attacks and how to recognize and avoid them. We’ll also be holding a bingo-style quiz!
