We will show how the classical theorem on the continuity of the roots of algebraic functions in one variable can be reduced via some ``easy'' model theory to an ``obvious fact''. This also leads to a vast generalisation of the result in discussion. Some questions about higher dimensional variants will be also asked/discussed.
