Curved A-infinity algebras arise in nature as Fukaya categories (1993) and categories of Matrix Factorization (1980). Despite this there has not been much progress in extending the known theory of uncurved A-infinity algebras to the curved case. I will explain some of the difficulties that arise when curvature is present, the recent results of Armstrong and Clarke which overcome many of them, and what remains to be done.
