Mathematicians have, in the past, investigated various properties of the conjugate locus of a point on the standard torus in Euclidean 3-space and, more generally, analyzed behavior of the geodesics on tori of revolution bearing a particular kind of Riemannian metric. Surprisingly, the cut locus of a torus with such a metric has not historically received much attention in mathematical literature. We present some recent results regarding the cut locus of such a torus.
