A magnetic geodesic describes the trajectory of a charged particle in a magnetic field, and can be thought of as a generalization of a geodesic (recovered when the magnetic field is 0). I will introduce the concept of a magnetic geodesic and magnetic flow, with emphasis on some of the differences with the usual geodesics and geodesic flow.
