We define a new class of Dedekind sums which, in contrast with many of the current generalizations, are differentiable functions of several variables. We show that these finite sums enjoy reciprocity laws which at least in low dimensions allow us to find lattice points in polyhedra in polynomial time. Joint work with Helaman Ferguson.
