I will describe how Pontryagin duality can be viewed as a duality for abelian group stacks (also known as Picard stacks), and how in this interpretation Fourier transform becomes an example of Fourier-Mukai transform. I will then describe how this duality extends to describe duals of some gerbes and principal bundles, which are examples of so-called locally Picard stacks.
