Mirror symmetry for invertible potentials has recently received much needed attention in the works of Krawitz and Chiodo-Ruan. I will describe an approach to mirror symmetry that aims to unify this construction with the better studied reflexive Gorenstein cones construction. The underlyng technique is the theory of vertex alegbras, although much of the results can be stated without it. The reference is arXiv:1007.2633.
