As part of our continuing discussion of Sholze´s theory of perfectoid spaces, I will speak about the categories of almost modules and almost algebras. I will define the appropriate notion of finite etale in these categories, and discuss how to use almost mathematics in the "tilting" correspondence for perfectoid algebras.

Almost mathematics is originally due to Faltings, and a great deal of the theory has been developed by Gabber and Romero.
