I will describe how curved differential graded algebra structures which are deformations of flat ones can be transferred along chain contractions to curved A-infinity structures. As an application, one obtains a combinatorial analogue of the classical Chern-Weil theory at the level of simplicial cochains. Time permitting, I will also discuss possible applications to constructive quantum gauge theory. This is a joint work with Nikolay M. Nikolov.
