Organizational meeting for a new seminar

Several groups, in the Math and Physics departments at Penn and in nearby schools, have been working on various aspects of toric geometry and its applications to high energy physics. The purpose of this seminar - and this introductory talk - is to bring these groups (as well as graduate students in search of a problem, and other sympathetic observers) together, learn what each of us has been thinking about, and look for potential common threads and future projects.
