We'll construct a monoidal category with the Grothendieck ring naturally isomorphic to the integral lattice in the quantized enveloping algebra of the positive half of a simple Lie algebra. The category has a diagrammatical description, with morphisms given by braid-like planar pictures, strands labelled by simple roots of the Lie algebra. This is a joint work with Aaron Lauda.
