Last week I introduced iterated integrals, and Chen's generalized holonomy map. I will explain why this map yields a transport of the A-infinity structure on the deRham DGA of a manifold to a minimal model on its cohomology ring. Then we will see that when the manifold is simply-connected, the generalized holonomy gives an isomorphism between the Hochschild cohomology of the deRham DGA and the homology of the loop space of the manifold.
