About ten years ago, Rost and Voevodsky announced a program to prove the Bloch-Kato conjecture, which predicts a presentation for the etale cohomology of a field and implies the Quillen-Lichtenbaum conjectures. Assuming Rost's part, which is being written up, we provide a patch to Voevodsky's part which finishes the proof of the theorem that this conjecture was correct.
