This talk, even if independent, is closely related to the one I will give on Friday, Feb 17 at the Galois seminar. Here I am going to define Dedekind sums in the setting of real quadratic fields, and relate them to special values of L-series. Under the assumption of class number one, I will explain how these sums, as well as the units of the previous talk, can be computed.
