On the free loop space, perturbed transversality yields globally defined real chain operations in the free loop space. The operations are parametrized by the real chains on Riemann's moduli spaces. The construction is compatible with the compactification by Riemann surfaces with nodes. It is assured throughout that each Riemann surface has a positive number of input and of output punctures.
