Kontsevich's local star-product can be used to define an associative product on sections of the jet bundle, upon choosing a connection (or, more generally, a formal exponential map). Adapting Fedosov's approach, one can choose fiberwise equivalent products so as to obtain a star-product on global functions. In particular, the star-algebra of global functions is realized as the subalgebra of horizontal sections of the jet bundle w.r.t. a flat connection that is a deformation of Grothendiek's.
